Our Bachelor of Education degree combines two approaches: Waldorf Education and the National Curriculum (currently CAPS). This combination offers the development of creative and innovative methods of teaching that will deeply engage children in their learning, at any school.
Student teachers learn to design and teach inspiring and effective lessons, from which children will gain critical thinking skills, social and emotional skills, as well as practical and artistic skills.
The degree Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching is the nationally recognised qualification for educators in schooling, accepted for employment in any South African school.
Eurythmy is the new Art of dynamic movement that makes the sounds of speech and the elements of music visible. Eurythmy works on a deep level that stimulates the Body, Mind and Spirit, enabling us to meet the challenges of modern life. It has been described as dancing to the rhythms of life, exposing the human soul through the instrument of the body.
Graduates can further their career as Eurythmy teachers, in business, in community work, performing arts or in a healing capacity. The Kairos Eurythmy Ensemble performs nationally and internationally.
The degree Bachelor of Arts (Dance) is fully accredited by the Council of Higher Education and is registered with both the South African Department of Higher Education and Training, and the General Anthroposophical Society Section for the Arts of Eurythmy, Speech, Drama and Music. Goetheanum, Dornach, Switzerland.
Our Early Childhood Development Programme is based on Waldorf principles. The training focuses on child development, as well how teachers can establish their own programmes for creative and holistic teaching. We explore the wonders of childhood through art, movement, music, story-making, story-telling, handwork and crafts. This empowers teachers to share their enthusiasm with the children in their care.
If you want a career that makes a difference, that can build a nation and prepare our children for the future, then teaching is the career for you.
Our Level 4 Certificate is accredited by ETDP-SETA. We are an accredited provider of Higher Education, registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training, for our Level 5 Certificate.
The “Birth to Three” course is a short one offered by Centre for Creative Education to assist caregivers, teachers and parents in the caring of small children. This course does not lead to any formal qualification. We do, however, provide a “certificate of attendance” once all course requirements have been met and the fees paid in full.
